The transmitter is connected to plastic cord that can easily be set at any level, and to a weight that rests on the salt. As the weight begins to tighten the cord the transmitter is brought to a vertical and sends a signal to the receiver. The receiver that is fitted with a built in magnet for easy fitting on a fridge for example which triggers an led light to blink every 3 seconds warning you that the salt has reached the level that you set.

Once you have refilled the salt simply press the reset button on the receiver
